Much has been said recently about the possibility of the European Union imposing tariffs on modules from China following complaints from 20 European manufacturers about price dumping and Chinese state subsidies on this product. (Energías-renovables News)
It seems that the measures will be stronger than those already approved by the United States, the tariff being 47% (according to Tienda-Solar sources). On June 6th they would come into force irrevocably, thus opening a period of negotiation with the Chinese government, which seems not to retaliate until the end of the negotiation.
If all this is fulfilled, the big beneficiaries will be European manufacturers (especially German), who would see their delicate situation alleviated, at least temporarily.
From Tienda-Solar we will follow the case closely and keep you informed.
